This is the simplest version of the MIYANAGA core bits. After securing the starter drill with a 3 mm Allen wrench, the shank is screwed onto the core bit. The system is easy and versatile: just choose the size for your core bit, the starter and your preferred shank. The core bit can be used for wood, plywood, particle board, MDF, PVC, fiber-glass reinforced plastic and metal plates up to 1.6 mm. Nails that are embedded in the wood will be cut without a problem.

The seamless body of the bit is only 1 mm thick, and connection with the 2.5 mm teeth made of hard metal, this will help ensure reduced friction while drilling. This is due to the 1 mm space between core bit and wood. The unique two-step teeth improve the drill-performance even further. Large openings on the side allow wood-shavings to move into the hollow inside. On larger core bits those shavings will be pushed out through holes on the top.
Drilling depth max. 40 mm. Suitable for power drills and in combination with the 6.3 mm hex shank for cordless-drills. Use only in drill mode with the hammer disabled if used with a hammer drill.
The hex-shank is only suitable for core bits less than 38 mm in diameter. The core bit can be used for wood, plywood, particle board, MDF, PVC, fiber-glass reinforced plastic and metal plates up to 1.6 mm thick. Nails that are embedded in the wood will be cut without a problem.
